The Journey
I’m Allen Varghese, a photographer and visual creator based in Kochi, Kerala, India. Born in Kottayam and shaped by a childhood in Mallappally, my journey with visuals began early—through observation, curiosity, and an instinct to notice what often goes unseen.
Photography, to me, is more than an art form. It is a feeling. A way of freezing time, of holding onto moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed. Every frame carries a story, and sometimes, a kind of quiet magic—capturing what the eyes see and, at times, what they cannot. Through light, movement, and emotion, I try to translate life as it unfolds, honestly and intentionally.
My work spans across product, fashion, event, street, travel, wildlife, journalistic-style photography, and fine art. Rather than staying within a single style or mood, I constantly explore different tones, atmospheres, and visual languages. Each project is an opportunity to experiment, evolve, and see the world from a new perspective. Growth comes from change, and exploration is an essential part of my creative process.
Alongside photography, I also work as a graphic designer, creating posters and visual designs that complement my photographic practice. This dual approach allows me to think beyond individual images and focus on complete visual narratives—where composition, design, and storytelling come together seamlessly.
Academically, I’m pursuing BA (Hons) Communication Design – Photography under Liverpool John Moores University, with my schooling completed at Mar Dionysius Senior Secondary School. While education shaped my foundation, real learning continues through experience, experimentation, and persistence.
I strongly believe in one simple idea: sometimes we miss, sometimes we fail—but giving up is never an option. Consistency, patience, and belief in the process eventually lead to where we’re meant to be. The work continues, the stories keep evolving.
