Our Upcoming Project: Bringing Employee Emotions to Life Through Photography

So here's the thing: our team is on a mission to create an installation that encapsulates our topic. We came together, each armed with about ten different ideas—some were off-the-wall, others were more grounded in reality. The objective? To come up with something that would not only be engaging but also spark a conversation.

To help us fine-tune our ideas, we decided to consult with two faculty members: one with a background in photography and the other in graphic design. We presented them with our best concepts, laid out with diagrams and sketches, hoping for some expert guidance.

It turns out, both faculty members honed in on the same idea. They suggested we create a photo installation that captures two contrasting emotions commonly found among employees: one positive and one negative. It was like a light bulb went off for us. Not only was the concept straightforward, but it also provided a unique angle to explore the ups and downs of the modern workplace.

With this idea as our new North Star, we asked the faculty for more details on how to bring it to life. They gave us some fantastic tips on setting up the space, using lighting to highlight the duality of emotions, and playing with textures and color schemes. Essentially, they helped us turn our abstract idea into something tangible.

So now, we're diving into the nitty-gritty of planning the installation. We're discussing which emotions to focus on, how to represent them visually, and what kind of interactive elements we can add to make the installation more engaging. The journey from brainstorming to blueprint has been a thrilling ride, and we can't wait to share what we create. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to develop our concept!
