Discovering the Art of Visual Storytelling: A Transformative Workshop Experience

We were getting ready for an upcoming survey collection, but before that, we had the chance to attend a workshop with Vishnu Sir. I didn't expect it to be so impactful, but it turned out to be a real game-changer. The workshop focused on using sound to create compelling visual images, which I thought was a fascinating concept.

The first two days were particularly memorable. Vishnu Sir started by showing us a video that explored the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals. The stories were honest and, at times, heartbreaking. These individuals had grown up in conservative Christian families, facing significant challenges along the way. Their stories of resilience and self-discovery were both moving and inspiring.

After watching the video, Vishnu Sir encouraged us to express these stories visually, using simple stick figures and shapes. At first, it was a bit daunting—how do you capture complex emotions with just a few lines? But as we got into it, something clicked.
